WASHINGTON, D.C., January 30, 2026 – Rule Garza Howley successfully represented Arctic Glacier, LLC and its parent company, The Carlyle Group, in obtaining antitrust clearance for Reddy Ice, LLC’s proposed acquisition of Arctic Glacier.
Following a review by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, a targeted divestiture package was agreed to that addresses potential competitive considerations in select regions. The resolution clears the antitrust path for the acquisition to proceed and reflects a carefully negotiated outcome that preserves the core strategic value of the deal. The proposed settlement is subject to public comment and court review under the Tunney Act.
